Wednesday 18th February

Posting this entry from an internet cafe in the town of Singburi in Singburi province, the nearest decent size town to where we are staying.

Bangkok was awesome, spent a lot of time shopping and going out in Khaosan Road, the famous area for backpackers... Drinks about 140baht, not that cheap, but it is a city so to be expected! Everyone in the group is getting on well at the moment, everyone is nice to each other!

Left Bangkok on Sunday to take a 2hour bus ride out to the eco house. Right in the middle of nowhere, so rural! The nearest village is small, and still 15mins walk away! There are SO many dogs all around, outside the houses, in the roads, some are really cute, such an effort not to touch them because of the rabies risk :s

It's beautiful here though, have been running every morning at 7am, the only time of the day when it is cool enough to run and not die! Shared room, 3in mine but we get on well, very girly! Cold showers and we all eat on beautiful long wooden tables outside, right next to the river...

Our days have been SO full so far! Have visited several temples and an elephant village, had dinner on a boat and karaoke, had a Thai lesson and loads of stuff! So much more to write but so little time.

Evenings not so full, but we have been journalling and lounging around. Created a new cocktail from the limited supplies in the eco house bar: an AppleThai, Malibu, Blue Curacao, Apple Juice & a lime slice... YUM YUM!

It is 32-34 degrees every day... not so tanned though as we don't STAY in the sun for a long time. Spent far too much money already.

OH... and I am going to the full moon party in march!!!!!!!! So excited about that!

Just going now to an outdoor pool then a BBQ in Singburi.

So generally am having an excellent time! Few moments of feeling a bit homesick, but we are so busy and it's so good socialising with everyone else, so much to talk about, it soon passes! Have to go!
