After a small time of no blogging I am back to share some more of our travels.
Today we took Daniella to the airport where she left for home after her short stay with her beloved cousins.
Tomorrow we are going to ride the metro and go to St Peters Basilica and stay for a few hours to soak up the atmosphere of what is my faith.
We finally arrived at St Peters Basilica where there are thousands of tourists.
I have decided that I feel sorry for the people of Rome, unless you are in the tourist industry it would be difficult to put up with thousands & thousands of tourists every day and I means thousands.
All you see in Rome are people with suitcases and street maps.
St Peters Basilica is one of the 4 Basilica's in Rome, construction began on 18th April 1506 on the Emperor Constantine's original site and was solemnly dedicated by Pope Urban VIII in 1626.
We completed our mission at the Basilica and proceeded to find our way home by bus.
When we were at the bus station Rome decided to give the tourists a taste of its 4 seasons weather, after a beautiful morning, it became overcast, the a light drizzle, then a down pour followed by hail.
By this time it was time to say arrivederci Roma.
We travelled to Fossacesia only to find the same weather.
