Hi everyone, sorry its been awhile since the last blog, but things have been busy here in Paris, plus I didn't feel much like writing. Paris has been great, the weather has drastically cooled down, which has made being a tourist much easier. Catherine won't agree, but I enjoy the cooler weather a lot more, especially when your walking around all day, every day.
We have seen and done most of the things tourist come to see in Paris so I won't bore you with those. Some quick highlights include, the arc de triumph, the catacombs, Notre Dame, the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre, Sacre-Coeur, to name a few. We had 3.5 days to explore it so we just did things as leisurely as we could. One thing I loved about Paris were the sandwiches. Paris was a "Joey from friends" dream come true. A simple ham and Swiss on a baguette for like 4€ ill take that all day.
One gross thing I encountered was on the metro, we were packed in like sardines and me and this dude were like 6 inches apart; and without hesitation this guy starts digging away at his nose. With no shame he plugged away like he was digging for nose treasure. I looked over at Catherine to see if she saw what I was dealing with and she had this look of disgust I have never seen before. And I have done some seriously disgusting things around her. As this guy found his "buried treasure" he then would rub his fingers together in a way that suggested he was forming a snowball of snot. No word of a lie I was quenching my fist ready to pounce. I was hot and hungry and wanting to get back to our hostel in order to lay down and I was not about to munch on his "treasure". Seriously one of the most disgusting things I have ever seen. And that statement comes from a highly persistent nose picker myself. But, holy hell, have a little discretion when doing it. Anyways were off to Cain which is a base city for visiting Normandy and I'm pumped to get there ... Until then.
