Yesterday we went back up to the volcano in the hope that we might see something for the 2nd time! We sat with our eyes glued to the volcano from about 3pm until 6:30pm, but mother nature was not playing ball and no matter how hard we willed the clouds to move, they were firmly set where they were, so no lava this time. There will be other volcanos so fingers crossed!!

We did get to go back to the hot springs which was great (again!), I´m not sure I would get bored of having a nice hot soak in them. After the hot springs we went out for dinner and drinks with two couples from Quebec we met on the tour, it was a good giggle, but my free "Ladies night" drink tasted like sea water...hmm....

On our way back to the hotel Jessica and Philip noticed that we could see the top of the volcano glowing red! We could just see that lava was flowing out of it but it was flowing down the other side so we could just see a tiny bit of red bubbling at the top. Better than nothing though!

Today we are off to San Jose for our Tortuguero tour tomorrow...Hogmanay in the jungle, woop!
