Today up bright and early and off to slay some fish in the mighty Atlantic. 1 hr later and I keep my fishing ineptness in tact.
Quick swim, shower and wake the dozing bride and off we go for the 50 minute drive south to Key West.
What an amazing drive. At one point, we stop at a viewing area, we get out and look around for a while and get back in our trailer. As we were pulling out, some guy walked over to us and told us that we had a swimsuit hanging on the back of the trailer, so I go look and there's Dom's swimsuit hanging on the bike rack. Before leaving an hour earlier, I had done a walk around the van to make sure everything was ready to go, apparently I missed the swimsuit, we laughed when we realized that we had been driving with it flapping in the wind behind us like a flag.
Water and bridges everywhere, very cool. Once we made it to Key West, the HMS Serendipity lead us to historic Key West and finally to the iconic southernmost part of the U.S. ( see photo)
We did Dom's favourite thing which is shopping and I followed dutifully along ( for awhile) then off for lunch at s little bistro.
Then back to the Jolly Roger campground for supper, some more attempts at fishing and bed.
