Well my Cahuita experience is over!!Quite glad about that but then had to face Costa Rica on my own. I set off on Thursday morning with Colleen and we went to Alajuela. we stayed in a german run hotel for a couple of nights, that was nice.  Just outside of town, only problen was that the electricity didnt seem to want to work after dark both nights so we were without light or fan, so it was a bit dark and hot but other than that it was good. We got some vino tinto and had a couple of nights in, was cool there. We went to pizza hut the first night we were there so that made a change from rice and beans!!We had a look round Alajuela, it had a pretty cathedral there and we got some pops icecream so that was lush!!:) Then Saturday morning Colleen and I went our separate ways for a few days, I headed off down to Quepos to do my Open Water Diving Course. So i started it on the Sunday, we went to the pool, had a play around with the equipment on, got used to it and everything. That was really fun. Then sunday afternoon and evening i chilled out at my hostel with some of the guys and we watched the sunset!!Had a gorgeous view of the sunset because we were just at the top of the hill and then it went down and there was the sea and then there was the sunset!! So Monday was my first ocean dive, one of the guys in my hostel ended up doing his dives at the same time as me because there was problems in the sea because they had just had a swell...so visibility was very low and the waves were huge! So we had to backwards roll off the boat with our stuff on to get in the water and then hold on to the rope. When i got in the water the current was just ridiculouslt strong, i was holding onto the rope so tight that i ended up with rope burn. It was just sooo strong, it was just dragging us across the sea and under the water and stuff so that wasn't a great start. As we were going down the rope it was hard to equalize and i just got a bit freaked out but as we got down deeper and after i saw a really groovy fish it was ok!!We did two dives that day and we got down to 60ft!!Was quite cold that deep actually. Then Tuesday i had my remaining 2 dives and final exam. The current wasn't as strong this day so it wasn't so bad and we saw a really cool lobster and some massive fish so it was really good fun! I did my exam when we got back from the dive and passed that so it was all ok!!I sat on the hammock most of tuesday afternoon and then took a nap so i missed the sunset but it was raining and lightening so it probs wouldn't have been very good anyway!!In the evening, i went with a girl from the diving centre out for a couple of beers in Quepos and then went back to the hostel and went to this little restaurant for some drinks and to watch the locals dance salsa, was cool actually, wish i could do it! Then Eben and I walked like 100000miles, lol only kidding about 2km back to the hostel and it was up a stupidly steep hill so i was proud that i made it!heehee. Anyways so i've spent the whole day travelling to get to La Fortuna so finally here and now i don't know where i go from here so....I'll keep you posted!!!
