OK so i made it to Nicaragua after quite a stressful time getting here. Crossing the border was a bit of a nightmare and i was very thankful that i was with the others otherwise i probably would?ve just turned round and gone back!!? The difference in richness of the two countries is more obvious than i expected. We are currently in San Juan del Sur which is a beach town though where a lot of wealthy Nicaraguans go to escape everything. Its pretty chilled out here but not much to do!? We arrived here on Saturday and had a bit of a nightmare trying to find somewhere to stay because the first 3places we tried were full.? Eventually we found a really nice little place, its really clean and the for of us have 2 twin rooms with nice comfortable beds so it?s all good there.? The rooms cost about 3pounds so...can?t complain!!? So yesterday (sunday) we wanted to go to the beach but to get the prettier beaches you have to travel a bit north or south of this town so we cleverly decided to hire bikes and cycle there!!? It was about 8km, well it would have been if we hadn?t got lost, it was the middle of the day, boiling hot and the road was in terrible condition so it wasn?t the most fun thing i?ve ever done.? We ended up climbing up this nearly vertical hill to try to get to the beach, only to find out that it was the wrong hill and that was the way to the cliff and not the hill to the beach!!aghhh, was a nightmare!!? Eventually, after a few more hills and a lot of pain from muscles and burning skin we found the beach and had the nicest beer i?ve ever had!!It took us 3hours to cycle 8km so i wasn?t very happy by the end, but it was worth it. The beach was really nice and we all felt very proud that we made it!! So today was a bit cloudy so we sunbathed for a bit and then had a couple of beers sat in a cafe on the edge of the beach, yes i know theres lots of beer drinking here but its only about 40p for a beer so...and theres nothing else to do so....heehee.? Were off to Granada tomorrow so got to go and pack my stuff up again now!!
