Day 8 - The stunning Lake Atitlan, named the 'most beautiful lake in the world!' Again an hour late our taxi finally appeared and we were on our way, winding our way back down into the valley floor then up again and round and round. Day 7 - Ads favourite pastime, visiting the famous market in the hills of Chichicastenango! Another early start saw us waiting for our bus to arrive 'ala Guatemalan time!' It was quite cool though, sitting and watching the world go by taking in the local life and all the happenings of the city at 7am was worth the wait. Tuk tuk's speeding along, buses beeping to pick up kids for school, stray dogs wandering etc.etc... and mad local buses flying round the corners ...

Day 5 & 6 - Further south to the beautiful colonial town of Antigua Wanting to take the road west to Chichicastenango so as not to repeat journeys we were unfortunately told that this road was rough, long and dangerous with hardly any buses so instead we opted to go via Antigua.
