We are still living it up in sunny Oahu. There have been some changes since we last blogged. We moved out of our mansion (we posted a photo album of the house, be sure to check it out) and in with our friends Johnny, Katie and their 5 month old Taylor. It is nice to FINALLY be settled in a place for more then a week. We will be staying with them until the beginning of May. It is really great to share a house with people we know and get along well with. Not to mention that Chris has found a new best friend in Taylor. She is adorable. He says he wants one now so he can have a playmate. I keep trying to tell him parenting is a little more involved than that.
Chris is still enjoying his job at Kono's. He has really perfected his breakfast burrito making skills. I on the other hand am currently jobless. I decided that if I folded one more tank top I may gouge out an eyeball. So I have applied a few more places and I am going to clean condos for a friends mom when she needs me to.
Chris had an incredible Hawaii experience last week. He surfed pipeline for the first time...and survived. I am very proud of him and also happy that he didnt tell me about it until after he was back on dry land.
I had a WONDERFUL Hawaii birthday, Chris really spoiled me. Back home Ashley and I have a tradition of getting manicures and pedicures together. Since I didnt have her here with me, after a great breakfast Chris took me to get my nails done and even volunteered to get his own done since Ashley wasnt here. After a relaxing mani/pedi Chris surprised me with some fantastic perfume I have been wanting. Then came the best surprise. He took me out on a 40 ft catamaran at sunset to go whale watching. It was incredible!!! We had appetizers, wine and saw some whales jump...a perfect evening! The festivities continued the next day (I am a lucky girl) when Chris took me to The Polynesian Cultural Center. The center allows visitors to experience seven native villages and participate in daily activities of Hawaiian and other South Pacific cultures. The night ended with an all you can eat luau and a show. Chris and I will no longer be taking part in all you can eat buffets. His "im full" mechanism shuts off when he hears the words "all you can eat." He ate so much he was sick for the next day and a half.
It was a great couple of days. Truly one of the most memorable birthdays. Thank you sooo much to all my friends and family who sent many birthday wishes my way. I love you guys and missed spending the day with you.
Thanks for continuing to follow our travels and for keeping in touch with us. We love you guys and miss you lots!!!
