Hi Guys,
I thought I would update you to let you know that things are going great here. the island I am staying on is very beautiful. It is the biggest Isalnd of them all however it has the least amount of people on it, it is a small community and everyone knows everyone. I am working in a school that has 6 individual class room blocks, and I am teaching the children environmental education, well supposed to be but I have only done one morning with them on that the other time I have been teaching them pronunciation, which I have been laughing with the others here as when I leave there will be a group of children in the Galapagos that can speak scouse!! The people in Quito are trying to arrange for more environmental work for me so I may be working with the tortoises or on a different island next week.
We did a day trip to Ilsa de tintorellas, which is a volcanic island and we got to see iguanas, penguins, sealions and blue footed boobies. We then went snorkeling which was amazing as there was so many fish and the sealions were playing in the water. we have also visited the giant tortoises which are beautiful and actually move rather fast.
We are off on a day trip tomorrow to a vocano and the sulphur mines and on sunday to another island. Trying to put photos on but not having much luck so it may have to be in a couple of days.
love to all me x
