Hi guys,
I arrived in San Fran yesterday, no disasters on the plane and it was very easy to do, I managed to get a shuttle bus right to my hostel, which was just a little blue door on a dodgy street, which freeked me out at first, but after climbing the four flours with my four bags, I entered a really friendly small hostel in which everyone knows everyone else, there is a small lounge and kitchen I can use, plus free internet! Bargain!
Although the dorm rooms are quite strange, there are no doors to each room so they are more like walled sections in a big room that dont actually reach the ceiling, so you can hear everything! But the beds are comfy so thats a bonus and I have had my first sleep in since I have been away which was bliss!
Today I decided to go to Coit Tower to see the views of the city, it was a bit foggy but you could still see alot, then I walked around Telegraph Hill, North Beach and Russian Hill. Then I went to CHina Town and the had lunch in Union Square and the shopping district (Vicki - check out the photo of David Beckham - taken just for you to cheer you up, he is plastered all over Macy's!!). Then I decided to walk to Golden Gate Park which was about 20 blocks away!! Didnt realise that when I decided to walk! Havent figured out public transport yet so now I cant feel my feet as had to walk back as well!
The hostel has a really friendly feel, sitting here on computer with loads of people chatting around me and everyone chips into the conversation. Its cool! I have just been asked if I was 19!! I love this place, they were shocked when I said I was 28 on Thursday! Eek!
Well I have managed to put some photos on but I cant put my paragliding video on, horseriding photos in BC and Vancouver, as they are on DVD and computers here dont have it, so am sending them home and will get them put on at a later date so you can have a laugh.
Love to all, Me x
