Day 14
My hostel is a twenty minute walk from the Harbour Bridge and Sydney Opera House. There is a straight road directly to the sea. When I get down to the sea I'm surrounded by posh waterside apartments each with their own boat docked outside. I consult the map and know that the Harbour Bridge must be nearby. I walk around the corner and as if out of nowhere there is the Harbour Bridge towering over me with the Opera House in the background.
I walk under the bridge and can see people with harnesses on climbing it. The Opera House is a magnificent structure and I get some awesome pictures of its curves from different angles.
Sydney has everything; it's so diverse and beautiful, with the tall skyscrapers, Harbour Bridge, the Opera House and the vast Botanical Gardens. The sign outside the gardens kindly says 'These gardens are opened to everyone, feel free to walk on the grass, play ball games and hung a tree.' The gardens aren't a bad spot to have lunch, next to the Opera House overlooking the sea. Actually, I think it might be one of the best places to have lunch on planet Earth.
