24/08/2011 Day 15. Split.

We set off at 8 this morning but first things first we had to empty the waste water tank. I was driving and managed to reverse it into a bush.. Woops. After that mishap we were away and set off for split. I drove for the first 200km and was ok brown alert because we had less than 100km of diesel left in the tank and didn't know where the merest petrol station was. We managed to get one with about 50km of diesel to spare. I was away then on the road leading to the toll road, once we were on that, the trip on the sat nav said 179km on the toll road so we prepared ourselves. I drove until 10.45am then Nick got in the saddle. Already the sun was blazing and killing me. We arrive at the campsite just before 12 and had another mishap. Due to bad direction Nick scraped it right down a tree branch and made a huge scratch down the side, god knows what this will cost us ... We changed our site and then got some dinner. We headed for the beach about 3 minutes walk from the van and set down out towels and shoes n flip-flops. We were by the beach until 6pm jumping off the diving boards made off a cliff. I did my first ever backflip today off the small board and I'm threatening to do a front flip off the top board tomorrow Ooooo! We headed into the town of split about 8 and fell across a bar crawl, we had to say yes. €15/110Kuna got us one hour all we could drink and shots in every place we went. We filled our boots nailing vodkas, beers and jagerbombs. I didn't buy another drink after that I just went along for the ride. I bought a drink in the last place though :p not too tight a b******. After some hours of dancing around and reaching 4.30am when the lights came on, nick and I realised it was time to go bed. Dave had disappeared hours ago and Sam and Aaron were down two mates' throats. Me n nick jumped in a taxi together and got back. Just as I'm ending this post it's 4.50am and it's still just us. We seem sure sam n Aaron will get back, but will dave? I don't think he really knows where we're camped and I can't afford to answer calls. Good luck Dave.
