Anchorage Market and Alyeska Ski ResortIf you ever come to Anchorage, find a great little shop called Cabin Fever, around 4th and G Street. Found a few great treasures there. The Anchorage Market was like any of your local markets … lots of jewelry stands, and food, etc. Arrived at Hotel Alyeska a little after noon for our walking adventure. A day in Downtown Anchorage. The Anchorage Museum was quite impressive, especially with the Smithsonian Exhibit about the different cultures. It took what we saw yesterday at the Heritage Center, and greatly expanded it. I could have spent hours in there. A Visit to the Alaska Native Heritage Center. It occurs to me that I have not explained why I am in Alaska. I am a volkssporter .. a walker. Okay, I remember the forecast was showers all week and they don't lie. It poured all day .. and who cares ... we’re walkers and we walk no matter the weather. Today, breakfast was from 7 to 8 at the Commons and it was quite good. Eggs, bacon, potatoes, fresh fruit, juice, and coffee. Also, they put together a good box lunch for our day-filled journey.
