Anchorage Market and Alyeska Ski Resort

If you ever come to Anchorage, find a great little shop called Cabin Fever, around 4th and G Street. Found a few great treasures there. The Anchorage Market was like any of your local markets … lots of jewelry stands, and food, etc.

Arrived at Hotel Alyeska a little after noon for our walking adventure. I pulled a tendon in my foot so I am gimping along on the short walks, now. This is a beautiful resort with views of glaciers, people hang gliding, and a double tram that runs up to a restaurant up top. We had our final dinner here, so we didn't get "home" until almost 11 pm, and are we tired. Slept all the way back to the college.

Checked in online for my flight tomorrow and all the flights out of here are jammed packed. It’s been a great week, though I am looking forward to getting home to my own bed. Dorm life, at this late date, is not for me. One more college breakfast and one more walk, then to the airport for my flight home.
