Had a good couple of good nights in a decent hotel, costed £6.50 a night which is pretty good for large room, air con, free breakfast and private bathroom but we've been on the hunt for cheaper to enter the world of legit backpackers and save some money. From Tuesday the hostel stays begin! We've booked Tipsy Manor hostel, private room, shared bathroom looks pretty decent and had good reviews so optimistic!
We headed to the Saturday night market yesterday, was pretty good, lots going on and quite different to anything we've done before. We were a bit more adventurous and tried some different types of snacks along the way, the best but was mango sticky rice for dessert- yum! We had walked for hours, we got sore feet but it was cool walking around seeing the sites and all the different market stalls and little bits of entertainment along the way. We got back to the hotel, found a good film on the tv and chilled out for a while with the added bonus of Chang beer and some weird Asian face masks!
Today we hope to get some photos uploaded and there's another good Sunday market inside the old city walls we'll wonder out to. May meet up with a few people that are backpacking, one is staying at our hotel, but we are conscious of having to be up early tomorrow for our full day at the Elephant Nature Park- looking forward to this!
