So, a few weeks earlier than I led everyone to believe I popped up in Guernsey. All organised with Tom, we thought it would be a nice surprise for family and friends and it gave us a good chance to deviously plan. A quick stop off in Dubai 14 hours down from 38 hours in total with travel and waiting times! It was a sad goodbye to Amy as she left 15 minutes earlier to Heathrow and I was destined for Gatwick. What an amazing travel buddy I was lucky to have. Although it wasn't as planned we began together and finished together while being able to collect and share some incredible experiences!

Yesterday we had a relaxed morning and caught friends on tv in the lounge area while eating crumpets for brekkie. We got out and about fairly soon after that and walked along the boardwalk towards the lagoon. The lagoon was lovely, a man made beach/swimming pool really but as it was so humid and at 31 degrees it was a nice oasis after a hot walk. Sunday we had our flight from Gold Coast to Cairns, Judy kindly dropped us up at the airport.
