These were the famous last words uttered by David Gray.
So we decided to do something with our day being the last one Nialsy was in town for, and decided we should show him Venice. So dressed for the beach we went for our now daily trip to get a hangover smoothie. When walking past an Irish pub we saw a sign for $3 beers and decided it would be rude not to. After about 5 in here, we stumbled drunk onto Hollywood Bvld realizing it was only about 3pm. After a short visit to another bar, we did what any normal person would do on a Sunday afternoon. Go to a strip club for happy hour.
So there we were, 3 brits dressed for the beach in a strip club when it was still daylight outside. Entourage we weren't.
After another bar stop David's friend decided to give us a drive round the hills and down Mullholland drive. In his massive Escalade we were starting to feel vaguely more like entourage here. After this we ended up back where it all started, at the Irish pub. David and I decided this would be good time to order kobe beef burgers topped with macaroni cheese. That's right, bun - burger - mac & cheese - bun. Only in America.
The next day began with the standard smoothie down the road, and sadly this is where we had to say goodbye to Nialsy. David also had to go to work so I amused myself round Hollywood until dinner time when we and his housemate Hilary went to a french restaurant called La Poubelle. That's right, a restaurant called the dustbin. Luckily for us the food was good.
Today I had to say goodbye to David, Hilary and Lux the dog and headed to see the letlive boys who are rehearsing. Felt honoured to get to hear their new album before they've even recorded it! Going to be AMAZING.
So to sum up LA I have seen very little other than the inside of a bar and the smoothie shop, but by god has it been fun. And where better to relax then my next stop, HAWAII!!

Iin I agree on the effects risnig gas prices have had on society. Since reading Dean's book almost a couple years ago now my car only leaves the drive way for grocery runs and to get the whole family some where no reasonable to ask them to run to.I hope and pray that the barrel of oil continues to rise in price. It's always been my dream to see the end of the OPEC era and the growth of reliance on Human power and electric from geothermal sources.Run People Run .
