Salvador was good - not as hot as it could have been but it was ok! We caught the plane there and a random bloke was there with a small sign with my name on it! We drove for about half an hour and reached Hotel Lagoa e Mar. We were just told our room was there and given a key and that was it. No one spoke English either - Good Start!!!! We met a Norweigan Family and they spoke to us in English and were really nice.

For the next 8 days we relaxed as much as anyone could! I got bitten by a parrot (Kerry was so scared of it!) and a little monkey lived on our roof. We occasionaly walked to the shop to buy food supplies but other than that we stayed near our apartment or on the beach and ate at the hotel. We decided we liked Caphrinias and about 3 nights in a row I was completely bladdered (I am a light weight!).

The owner was a complete idiot. A 100 year old man called Gat, orginally from Germany. He hates Brazil, He hates tourists, He is a tight fisted old scrooge. His customer serivce skills are those you would expect from Ali G.

We had a nice time though and we flew back into Rio last night - (the flight was a bit bumpy but we landed in the right airport this time!)

Anyway, I will write again before we head home next week!!!
