Today was one of my favourite of my trip so far...
Started with a bit of a coach journey in the morning to the Vietnam border. This was a very small border crossing consisting of tiny tin sheds.
We arrived in Chau Doc (a small city near the border, on the river Mekong) late afternoon. Straight onto a boat trip along the Mekong. This was the higlight of my day, travelling on a long boat through the floating market, the stinky fish farm and to see a small village on the river. I bought a scarf for myself at the village made by a lady who was weaving them on a hand loom there and then.
After the river trip we hopped onto the back of a moped each driven by locals. We drove around the city of Chau Doc and up 'Sam Mountain' to watch the sunset with beer in hand.
We were shattered after all this, so after dinner and a little wander of the streets we went to bed for an early one.
