So here I am in Australia. Been here for 10 weeks now and only just doing my blog. Main reason for this being that the internet is sooooo expensive here, so when I do use the interent I have to be pretty quick. That says is all about Australia...expensive, expenive, expensive.

On a plus note it is pretty amazing here. I have been working in a place called Joe's garage for 8 weeks (not such a great restaurant, but was earning $17 an hour, so made things affordable for a while). Whilst in Melbourne I have driven the Great Ocean Road, been wine tasting on the Mornington Penninsula, seen little penguins on the beach at dusk on Phillip Island and generally lived the chilled out Melbourne Lifestyle. Melbourne is all about eating, drinking and has a big cafe culture. It is a great city. Big part of my Melbourne experience has been making an amazing new friend called Sam, we've had loads of fun, going to really miss her now as she is staying in Melbourne to work.

My Boyfriend Mark came out to see me on the 9th Dec for 2 weeks. We hired a car and did a road trip from Melbourne to Sydney around the coast stopping at lots of little places (Philip Island, Wilson's Promontary, Lakes Entrance, Merimbula, Batemans Bay & Jervis Bay). Then stayed in Sydney for 5 nights, explored the city and took a day trip to the Blue mountains.

I was so sad to say bye to Mark at Sydney airport, especially because it was right before christmas. I returned to Melbourne for a lovely warm christmas with all my Melbourne friends. Although it thunder stormed and hailed on christmas day. Sadly I can't do any bragging about being on the beach on christmas day!! Although I did spend Christmas Eve in the sunshine.

I have now just arrived in Sydney to spend the new year celebrations here. Staying with a lovely family in Newtown for ten days, have my own room which is a really rare luxury when travelling.

On the 6th Jan I head on a trip to Cairns via Byron bay, Fraser Island, The Whitsunday Islands and plenty of other things packed in. So exited for this to start.
