Checked out of hotel and got the train to Amsterdam. Took an hour and 20mins to get there. Went with Matt had lunch when we arrived then headed over to check into our house. Got it on air b & b and sharing with sophie and oiliver. Lovely house. Went into town meet jimmy joe and Daniel for drinks. Then later on sophie and oiliver. Went to a coffee shop! Then went for Thai meal and to a show! More drinks then taxi back to house very late! A good day and a laugh...

Had late breakfast then chilled in room for a while. Walked into town went to marine museum and on a submarine At 3.30 had clipper prize giving. Few drinks meeting up with lots of crew then went for dinner with Matt and Vitaly. Home late

Lovely sleeping in a hotel bed. Had a lovely nights sleep. Woke up too late for breakfast so walked down to where the boats were had brunch with Kevin and vitaly. Went into town bought a few toiletries had a wander around the marina. Lots of stalls live music had a few beers then later on a burger. Met up with Matt then later on others from the boats stayed out til late drinking. Back to hotel at 1pm lovely to get into a bed again

Leg 8 : race 13 day 6 Woken up at 6.30 was in a deep sleep. We still had the wind seeker up. Heard that 8 boats had finished. So sad we are still out here and in a wind hole. Leg 8 : race 13 : day 5 Up on deck at 7 had slept really well. Pancakes for breakfast and a coffee. The code 2 was up the sea was calm and we were making slow progress in a wind hole.
