We had breakfast at 10.45am at the 'Sunflower bar' by the beach. We had pineapple fried rice and Phad Thai noodles with chicken to share. They were very big portions and very tasty. We also had a mango shake to share which was also delicious.
After breakfast we went into the 'Blue View Divers' shop to enquire about diving. The staff there were very friendly and approachable.
We did a last minute booking through our accomodation place for a tour around Koh Phi Phi Leh, this included snorkelling, seeing Monkey Beach, seeing Viking Caves, swimming in a lagoon, visiting Maya Bay and watching the sunset in Phi Phi Leh. The tour started at 2pm and finished at 6.30pm. At Monkey Beach we saw a few monkeys eating and climbing around trees. The longtail boat took us into a lagoon, this was stunning, the sea was emerald green. When the longtail boat stopped, we both jumped into the beautiful sea and had a swim. We both loved it! We snorkelled around the corner from Maya Bay,we saw many colourful fish. Jay found a sea cucumber few metres down the seabed and brought it up to Helen. She did not know what it was and dropped it because she did not like the texture of it. The longtail boat stopped off at Maya Bay, the famous bay where 'The Beach' movie was filmed starring Leonardo Dicaprio. It was very busy but beautiful. On the boat we met two nice guys: Eddy from Manchester and Chris from Leeds. We finished off the tour with snorkelling and watching the sunset which was beautiful.
For dinner we ate at the 'Cosmic' restaurant, Jay had a Penang chicken curry and Helen had lemon chicken. The portions were small and Jay's curry was disappointing as it did not have much sauce and was full of vegetables. After dinner we spotted a stall selling fresh pomelo (big Asian grapefruit) and got some to eat, they were juicy and tasty.
