Hey! We have just got back from a 5 day tour of the Red Centre, checking out the national parks and scenary. It was totally excellent fun! We were in a small group (just another couple and 2 guides) and did loads of hiking around the national parks and lots of swimming in central Australias water holes! The whole trip was excellent but some of the best bits were the walk around the base of Uluru - where we got a good look at the rock (although unfortunatly Helen got a bit of heat stroke whilst doing this and ended up puking into a bush while we were wathcing the sun set over the rock.... so I got to drink her Champagne, so it worked out well for me anyway!). Also the hike around Kata Tijua was so cool - totally amazing scenary! (and no heat stroke this time, which was nice). The Garden of Eden and the Lost City at Kings Canyon are very spectacular and Palm Vally too. The 4 wheel driving was very exciting too and made for some hariy moments going up super steep hillls! Plus the water holes are brilliant - we even went night swimming in one! And sleeping out under the stars was so cool too! I think thats about it for now. In a couple of days we will be in Cairns where we are going out on a boat in the barrier reef for a few days to do some diving - cool! Hope you are all well and having fun whatever you are up to.
