We had an 8:15 am pick up so we could make our flight to Luxor, there was a little bit of fog but nothing that would stop us flying in Australia.However it did stop us in Egypt, we had a 4 hour delay.This meant we had to rearrange the whole day.We had to miss Karnak temple because we were not going to have enough time to see it properly. (Ibrahim moved it to the morning of our free day).We went to the hotel first to check in and we were upgraded and had the best view of the Nile from our balcony (We were there at exactly the right time as we were able to watch the sunset over the Nile and West Bank). We headed off for Luxor Temple at 6:00 so we could visit the temple by night.It was amazing to see the temple lit up.We were also able to see the Sphinx Avenue that connects the Karnak temple with Luxor temple.After that we drove back to the hotel and had dinner at the Italian restaurant in the hotel.While we thought we had a bad day with delays we later found out that the other group also had a long delay at the airport, not leaving until around 10 am and that was after having a 3:30am pick up at the hotel then to top their day off some of them had their luggage lost and others had things stolen so it put our day into perspective.
