Friday 14th saw us taking a drive to Sapri to buy some new curtains for the Villetta. The traffic at Palinuro/Sapri was incredible. We finally arrived and Domenik's store was like Aladdin's cave. Any housewares you could possibly want are there. We found some nice ready made curtains and as they only had 2 sets we drove to the other store which is at Scario, at the other end of the bay of Palinuro. More traffic, Sonia was able to get the curtains and we then headed to see if we could find a spot for a swim, no luck. We drove to Cammerota (beautiful town) and very winding narrow roads but np place to park. Mili was very disappointed so Sonia will take her there on Monday morning after dropping me at the train station in Vallo. We then drove up through the mountains through old Cammerota where we got quite lost and went down a one way street the wrong way. We had to turn on a very narrow section and finally found the way out, driving on more winding roads through more quaint villages - finally arriving home after 3 pm. I was really hungry as I skipped breakfast as I was preparing dinner for that night. I made a Chicken Timballo which is a baked pasta dish. We had something to eat then a siesta as usual. When I got up I started weeding Patricia's garden as it had cooled down a bit. Easy going as Sam had put down weed mat. We finally had the Timballo for a late dinner - the gas oven in the loggia was being very temperamental and the gas kept going out. I worked out it was a ventilation thing as when I propped the door open a fraction with a spoon it stayed alight. It was delicious and worth the wait. Mili watched another Harry Potter movie after we had washed up and I retired to my suite and watched a movie. Today's photo is of the fog sliding up the valley at around 6 pm.
