So today we drove from Kaikoura to Picton, in order to get the ferry over to Wellington. It was a three hour crossing, was very calm thankfully and went quite quickly. Trying to get our bags was quite a challenge! No one would move out of the way for us, even when we said excuse me, and as we are both small, we couldn't see that we were going to get them anytime soon. In the end I went and squeezed through and managed to get my bag. Hurray!

We stayed at Base for two nights, and it was one of the worst Base hostels' I've stayed in during my whole time away. Our room was ok, as we were in the Sanctuary dorm, which is for girls only, but the rest of the hostel was awful. Everywhere was extremely dirty and the kitchen was just disgusting! Was very glad to leave.

Our first night we went out for dinner to a noodle bar and then to the cinema. We couldn't decide what to watch so flipped a coin, and ended up seeing a horror called Mirrors. Katie was just as jumpy as I was and we spent most of the film half covering our eyes! When we got back and went to take our make up off, we had to go together ,as we were too scared to go to the bathroom on our own! Was quite funny!!

The next day we had a lazy morning, done a bit of shopping and then had lunch in a little cafe. Wow!! We had the most delicious caramel slices, we were in heaven! lol. We ended up going to the cinema again, but this time we saw a very funny chick flick. We then had a girlie night, with hot chocolates, face masks and painting our nails. Great night.

Tomorrow it's off to Taupo where we are hoping to do our sky dive, weather permitting! So, so scared!
