Hayley & Holly On Tour 2006
Hello Everyone,
Well we are into our fourth day of our time in Sydney and so far so good.
Yesterday we had a lovely day, we had a picnic in the Botanical Gardens, relaxing with a cheese sandwich and a view of the park and Sydney Harbour (we have decided that we make up a mean picnic- even if we do say so ourselves- we had enough to feed a small army!) The Gardens are lovely, they are really well looked after and they have the oddest mixture of animals- there are bats, cockatoos and some weird large bird with a beak that looks as if it could do some harm to you- he had is eye on our cheese sandwiches as well- shockingly he didnt get any even though at one stage his beak was in the carrier bag!
After we had finished relaxing we went for a lovely dinner at a place near to where we are staying- i had schnitzel chicken and vegetables and hayley had fish and chips with some wine to help it all down! Very nice!
Today we decided to visit one of Sydneys many beaches. We went over to Manley on the ferry, which was fun, and over to Manley beach. We had just settled down to catch some rays when an announcement came over the tanoy saying that a couple of sharks had been spotted in the vacinity and it may be an idea to leave the water if you wished- you dont get that every day at Sunny Hunny! Unfortunatly we didnt get a view of the big toothed ones, from the safety of the shore of course, which was a touch disappointing- all i wanted was a glimpse of a fin is that too much to ask?!!
We then caught the ferry back which was a little choppy and freezing cold but a good place to get a view of Sydney by night which is rather impressive.
That is about it for today- it was another day of rest and relaxation- its a tough life!!
Hope you are all well
Take care, missing you all
Holly and Hayley
