okayyyyyyyy. Not done this in a while. Nicely settled into Whistler life. I'm home alone injured at the moment. I fell very lightly on some black ice on the upper Franz trail and must have jolted my back. I went to get up and couldnt stand up or bend in any way. I had to be stretchered down the mountain by ski patrol and they escorted me home in a taxi. How very nice - Thank you Whistler Blackcomb you looked after me very well! That was 2 days ago and i'm beginning to bend a little more now. I was a bit gutted as we had waited all week for Mikes 2 days off to go boarding together and I ruined it! Plus its Leah's leaving do at Max Fish tonight but i'm going to stay in and chill and rest my back. i want to be okay for riding on Christmas Day.
Mike went up the mountain and did the park over and over. He can now do 360's on the biggish jumps which he couldnt before. He smashed his shin on the rail when he tried to jump onto backwards and hurt his shoulder so we are both in the war zone. Both going to chill this week I think.
He got called into work on his day off today which is a shame. All runs are open now on both Blackcomb and Whistler Mountain. The park crew havent set up the Terrain Garden yet which i what i'm looking forward to. Its a park for beginners. I'm thinking of going on the Roxy Snowgirls Camp in Jan or Feb where they teach you tricks and stuff over 2 days.
We have our gorgeous tree set up in the living area with lights and decorations. All our presents are wrapped under the tree, our Christmas cards are on the fireplace, Our Christmas stockings are hung up and we open a new window on our advent calendar each day. It snows most days here which is nice. Its only -3 degrees in the Villiage and -7 at the peak so its colder in the Uk than it is here! Much of Northern Europe has been at a standstill due to the record breaking snow conditions.....ouch!
Well we have our New Year sorted! Secret Rave deep in the woods. Cant wait! 20 DJ's, tents, free hot chocolate etc!
