Well i've not written much over the past few weeks to be honest cuz we're not doing much! The only word I can describe is slobbing! Our apartment is great! Even though it was not cleaned for us and was filthy with months worth of dust. It wasnt hoovered, mopped, all the cuttlery and crockery was dirty, the microwave had not been cleaned I just felt dirty as soon as we got in. Luckily our Lanlord let us in a day early free of charge so we spent the day cleaning. He had just sold his cleaning company so I expect we were just tennants at the wrong time I suppose. Its $200 cheaper than our other apartment we were supposed to move into just because it doesnt have a door to the bedroom. It is bigger though which suites us fine. I still dont feel like its clean now but its very cosy and we love it! Terrible time for employment in Whistler at the moment as it is inbetween winter and summer and is dead. There are so many people going for interviews and dropping their Resume's off we need to really stand out! Competition is fierce! We have put a picture of ourselves on the Resume's which many of the employers have said is a really nice touch - although illegal in Canada. We are also showing our faces every 10 days to refresh their memory. No-one wants to know though and its hard to get to see the manager. We had an interview at Creekbread yesterday. We would both LOVE to work their. It is our first choice. Its a trendy organic pizza restaurant which is all about the comunity, saving the planet, nitrate free meats etc. They have couldrons and wood burning fires which they cook the pizza's open plan at 800 degrees. Its started in 1998 in massachusetts a company called Flat Bread sold to supermarkets. They then opened up a kitchen at weekends to sell to the public. It was foundered by George Schenk and Jay Gould. Hopefully we did what we can to get the job. There is only 2 available so fingers crossed we both get it!
We cant eat out because its expenisive as it is then you have to add 12% tax then add 20% tip. Thats 32% extra for anything you buy that requires service. It takes the P***! We are however enjoying playing tennis, watching a big TV in our comfy living room, reading and cooking. I think I will write a poem on the Chillie Mine Disaster soon too.
