Hi Everyone
Just thought I'd give you a quick update to let you know we arrived safely after 28 long hours travelling which wasn't as bad as I imagined! We were getting quite restless at Heathrow cuz we had to wait so long and couldn't check our bags in as soon as we got there so we had to wait in the arrivals hall for a few hours which wasn't so bad as we sat listening to some paps having a conversation which was very interesting! We'd just seen them paping Cher Lloyd and a punch up had broke out!
Our flight to Sao Paulo was 11 hours I slept most of it which was good then I watched a film. Joe was making the most of the free drinks. Once we arrived in Sao Paulo we had to go straight to the gate for a 4 hour wait for our flight to Santiago. That was a 4 hour flight. Once we landed in Chile we were made up to see Norman and his girlfriend Julie waiting for us! We picked up our bags ( mine is somehow the heaviest out the 3 of us!) and went out, Norm and Julie took us on the bus then a metro and paid for us as our cards weren't working ( prob didn't help that the ATM's are in Spanish!) Norman also carried my rucksack as he saw I was struggling in the 30+ heat!
So Norm and Julie took us to our hostel and left us to check in and get showered then we went round to their apartment which has amazing views over the city and mountains then we went to a bar and a yard of beer that comes out in u tube with a little tap on the end! Then we went to Bellavista and treated Julie and Norm to dinner as they'd done so much for us we all had steak sandwiches and they were amazing! They like to put avacado on everything but its delicious! Then we went for a Pisco sour (local cocktail) which all you can really taste is brandy! We then headed back to the hostel for some sleep it was a little noisy and soo hot but we were out cold as soon as our heads hit the pillow!
Today were off to the mountains so I'll update you all again later! xx

Today after a lazy morning we decided to get a taxi up to the public swimming pool that we'd given up looking for the day before. When we were driving in the taxi we were all so relieved we had given up the day before as it was about 4-5 miles up a huge windy hill! We paid 7500 (about a tenner) to get in and a local guy came over asking if we were eniglish - he went on to tell us to go get a refund as there was 1500 kids from the rough areas coming for a day trip and that they were wild (its their summer holidays).
We decided we would go in anyway and if it got silly we would leave, it was very busy but we found a little spot in the picnic area and spent all day chiling in and out the sun! The pool was cold but refreshing- I only braved it once but the boys went in a few times - the views were amazing from the pool. The kids weren't that bad just kids! It was like a much bigger milbrook park! Joe and Craig taught some local kids how to say 'high five' then the kids went off round the pool saying 'high five' to everyone!
We headed back to the hostel in a taxi to shower and catch up with people on skype then went to a bar called Schoppdog for dinner (the 3 of us shared the local dish of chips, steak, chorizo and fried egg on top!) and some more yards of beer! On our way back to the hostel we heard a screech and a bang - a car had knocked over a motorbike - Joe ran over to see what was happening. There was a man lying in the road loads of people were stood around him. The police came and the first thing they did was take off his helmet! We were shocked, anyway we decided to leave and carry on back to the hostel and the boys decided to de-tour up a road that ended up a complete waste of time as we then had to walk back down the next road pretty much to where we'd turned off = Que argument numero 2! haha. We finally made it back to the hostel and went to bed!
