Hi!!!
Well we have made it to London, and spent the first week trying to find our way around this city! Tubes are really easy to use, and we haven't managed to get lost - yet. Our first weekend that we were in London Saf and Charlotte came to visit, and I was really crook with jet lag. We have managed to see a couple of the London sights - however have a lot to go!! I spent the start of last week in interviews with agencies, and Paul spent his time job hunting too. Is a bit hard though as we are heading away for 2 weeks on our tour, so no jobs yet!!
For easter we decided to go and see some countyside, and see Saf and Charlotte at where they worked. We trained down to Salisbury, and then pciked up a rental car from there, which we had for 5 days (until today). Map reading over here is a bit more difficult than at home!! And roads are crazy skinny to drive on, which made it interesting. We travelled to Bath (via Stonghenge) and then went over to Wales to Cardiff. We came back to Salisbury on Saturday and went to 'point to point' horse races with Saf and Charlotte. Kinda like the Riverton races although betting was a bit different and the horses were just racing in paddocks. Seemed to be the place to take the pet dog if ya had one - so we looked a bit out of place without one!
On Sunday we drove down to Abotsbury and walked up a massive hill to see a church and a sea view. The next day we went to Winton - was not exciting at all - and they didn't even have a sign to take a photo of!! We carried on to South Hampton and Portsmouth which we had a tour of the harbour which the British navy fleet is docked at and went onto some old war ships. For this journey we borrowed Saf's GPS which is right up there with the best invention in the world, resulted in no arguments on which exits to take, and we didn't end up going down one way streets the wrong way, which we have also done!! We trained back to London today and leave for our tour in 2 sleeps!!
Feels like we have been eating and drinking heaps!! Looking forward to the tour though - which I guess will involve a lot more!!
Hope all is well,
Love Haz and Paul
