Florence is a beautiful old city, the cathedral there is the biggest in Europe I think? It's huge and very beautiful we didn't go inside because once again the line was so long about a 2 hour wait in the hot hot sun. After nearly 2 months of seeing some amazing buildings we are starting to get a little bit sick of them. We still appreciate there beauty and are in awe of how they built these amazing structures way back then but you do get a bit tired of it all. We had some great food in Florence Daniel had what they call a steak florentine, a huge 1 kg piece of thick steak just seared and almost raw inside. He loved it, I went for the pasta and a traditional cake for desert which he ate most of anyway :) we also had the best gelato ice-cream ever. The lonely planet recommended it and they were right it was amazing. Made with real fruit and so creamy we just wanted more and more. So we spent 2 nights in this beautiful city, very pretty at night all the old buildings light up and the old bridge is a gorgeous sight. So goodbye Florence and hello Pisa.
