Up early in the hope that there was room on first bus to Trinidad - fortunately scraped in. Even though you arrive at a bus station, with the clear intention of getting a bus, still hoards of taxi drivers think they can persuade you to get in their taxi. Yet in trying to get to the bus station, had to wait a good 15mins for a car to pull over that was a) a taxi, and b) not full of drunk people going home from their Saturday night out (no doubt including the drive...

Oh my word. What a day. Now this is a long long story and not one which can be told in full here, but in short; we caught 1 taxi (not 2), 2 ferries, 0 trains (not 2), 1 bus (not 2), and had 6 separate trips in police cars (not 5). Spent the morning at the Museum of the Revolution and afternoon old part of Havana, an ice-cream place and chocolate factory. Had a hot chocolate that was literally a bar of chocolate melted into a glass and heated - very sickly but welcomed after nearly three weeks without chocolate.

Walked around Havana in the heat. Rob gave a tour of the architecture and history of Cuba. Got scammed once (Local being very friendly and takingy you into cafe to ask for pen and paper to write down directions to a festival, ordering mojetos and leaving you with the bill) - second time refused the drink and bill annoying both the local and the bar man.
