Trip to the bus station to book our ticket to the Lake District, then local bus to Maipu. Didn't have any coins or the swipe card to pay, but fortunately a brazilian traveler was at hand to help out. Took him under our wing to go see Mr Hugo to rent bikes. After plying us with a beaker of wine, Hugo and his wife kitted us out with a map and off we cycled, accompanied by the Brazilian and an American lass. Somehow tasted wine without paying for a tour at the first place. At the next sampled an array of olives, olive oil, chutney, marmalades, chocolate and licquors. Tour of the next wine factory, sampling 3 different and rather tasty wines. After being questioned by the police as to whether we were inebriated, cycled on to an Italian family owned vineyard where we supped a nice bottle of red and lunched next to the vines. Back at Mr Hugo's he provided us with multiple beakers of his wine (although admittedly not quite as good as some we had tasted during the day), and we chatted to French, Brazilians, English, Irish and Aussies. Bus back to Mendoza, bite to eat to sober up, booked skydiving and retired merrily to bed.
