So, here we are on a brief sojourn back in the UK having landed back from Havana at 7am this morning. We fly out to Hong Kong at 7pm tomorrow evening, so God knows what our body clocks will be like by the time we get to the Far East! Currently been up for 28 hours without a wink of sleep, thanks to a particularly fidgety old bat in front of me on the plane last night. Oh well, at least we're rock and roll if nothing else!
In the process of dumping 2GB of photos and videos onto the computer. Will post the choice pics from Havana, and write the blog for the four days we spent there tomorrow morning following a good 12 hours kip. Or if the jetlag kicks in tonight, it will have to be 12 double espressos to get the brain functioning...
But before then I need to write about our first night on Cayman, which we both omitted to do first time round. I cannot believe I failed to mention it before. It was my idea of a perfect evening - a brewery tour with as much free beer and pizza as you could lay your hands on! Being guests of Nick's company who had laid on the event (I like to think in honour of our arrival, but I suspect it was actually a work night out) I drew the line at physically barging my way to the front of the queue, but did manage to secure a prime standing position equidistant between the bar and the pizza. It was a great first evening on the island, thanks again to our ever gracious hosts. And to cap it all, the collective knowledge of beer trivia in our team of 5 meant we won the quiz and walked away with 2 crates of Caybrew! Kept the boat well-stocked with beer over the weekend anyway!
