Well, here we are, back in Blighty! We've been back for a week now, have had a lovely Christmas, caught up with lots of friends and family, and have even just put the last load of washing on this evening! Still got lots of things to sort out in the next week before going back to work, but at least we have got New Year before then so …
By popular request here is the long awaited blog site to record our whistle stop 3 month tour round the world (sort of!). Our itinerary takes in USA, Peru, Cayman Island, Cuba, Australia, New Zealand and Borneo / Malaysia (with short stops in Hong Kong and Singapore just for good measure!)

Great site, I was wondering why you were having so many holiday, didnt click that you were actually travelling!!!!! Hope you are having a lovely time. Ivan is very jealous, but he has commitments here, ha ha. Kids are fine, Demilee starts infants in January and Ben starts preschool in January, my babies growing up too fast.
Had some devasting news 4 weeks back, will tell you when you get back or in a email on your face, don't want to put it in your message board.

Okay, mega update coming up. We wrote the blog for Uluru a few days ago whilst we were killing 4 hours in Mackay waiting for a bus (thank god for the internet) but the site was down for maintenance, so we could not post it. And now we're going to do one for Airlie Beach and the Barrier Reef. Still cannot upload photos though so that will have to wait til Singapore in a couple of days!!

Oliver appears to be more himself this morning so hopefully on the road to recovery. My mum and dad are having himfor a couple of days to help Jonathan and I get over colds/infections.

You have absolutely no idea just how envious Mum and I are, that you have found the Cloudy Bay winery. You are very lucky to find that wine in the UK! It is, of course expensive and arguably the very best Saivignon Blanc that we have ever tasted. We managed to get 2 bottles one Christmas (if you remember James) at about £25 each. The only other time we found a bottle was in Naples, Florida.

Your trip so far looks amazing, I have just returned form working in Egypt for a week and a bit..not very exciting compared to what your doing and well it involved work, weather was great though made a nice change from this freezing cold weather! Dad forgot to mention that we saw the biggest bird in Florida fly yesterday - the Eandeavour successfully launched from Cape Canaveral last night and we had a good view from our front porch again.

The bird at the bin in Sydney is a Wood Stork.
By the way, we saw your "batman bird" yesterday (in fact a pair) flying over the intracoastal waterway by Anna Maria Island. We agree with you that it almost certainly was the the "Magnificent Frigatebird" - it certainly lives up to its name.
