We arrived in Queenstown and were plesantly surprised as we expected in to be a huge big town, it is larger than some of the places that we have visited but still a small quaint place. It would be fabulous to visit there in winter covered in snow, it's really popular with skiers and all the bars are set up with great big log fires etc.
Its full of adrenalin sports and there is loads of different things that you can do we were going to look at doing the tamdem bungy swing, sit together and they push you off you drop 60meters then swing through the canyon. Jack Osbourne has featured this on his adrenaline junkie show and we are pleased to say we.... bottled it! No way did not fancy that after watching the videos at all we decided we may do a smaller one in the north island when we head up there!
From Queenstown we headed to a place called Wanake to go to puzzling world. When you arrive at Puzzling World you immediately notice the crazy architecture. One building has four eccentric Tumbling Towers. Another one is called the Leaning Tower of Wanaka. This tower has been pulled out of the ground and is balanced on one corner at an unbelievable 53 degrees! The Leaning Tower of Pisa only leans six degrees. There is a great maze 1.5km of passage ways we had to use the emergency door as we kept going round in circles! There is a 3D hologram room which was cool, the hall of following faces, the tilted room and the ames room which if i stood at one end looked tiny and Joe stood at the other end looker like a giant! Had a great day we then set off to Franz Josef as we wanted to do some glacier walking.
