So we arrived in Vientiane (think that how you spell it) this is the capital of Laos so we expect it to be a busy bustling town just from the other capitals we had vistied we could not have been more wrong the town was dead not a soul in sight it was raining and had been all day so maybe this had something to do with it.

We walked around a bit to try and find somwhere to stay and stumbled upon a guesthouse which was a little more expensive than we had been paying but still really reasonable once I had seen the rooms it was yes I think we should definately stay here really great rooms huge with a TV aircon fridge etc so we checked in.

Vientiane is really small sleepy town but definately the weather kept people in we did not do much here watched some films went out for some nice food etc. We were flying out of Savanaket (south) on the 2nd August so we booked a bus down after two nights.
