One week until I depart for home today; my time here has absolutely flown by. I can't believe how quick the time has gone. I've tried my best to embrace every moment. My body just loves to wake up at 6:30am these days! It was so cold last night; I ended up putting Parker's sleeping bag over me for extra warmth as she didn't return from the other tent. This morning I naturally woke up at 6:30am; I slept relatively well for camping and wasn't cold throughout the night, which was a bonus! This morning I awoke rather early in order to have my last shower and savour every moment of it knowing that I would not shower for the next 6 days! This morning I woke up at 6:30am in order to finish packing and try and locate my walking boots that neither Margaret, Arnold or myself could find last night. Margaret spoke to the dada and we managed to find the boots! Phew! Arnold dropped me to the airport this morning. It felt very strange leaving for Kilimanjaro without him as I had always planned to climb it with him, but duty calls, and business is important. My wait at the airport was longer than expected...
