Hello from sunny Hungary. we are finally feeling clean again after spending aboiuyt 3 hours in the thermal baths. Passing you over to Harriet, for an account of our exciting time here...

weell the prices of of all illicit drugs are on the wall of our hostle if that tells you anything about the place we're in! people seem very chilled....! had a relxing breakfast quite late, then went up St Stephen Basilica tower, amazing views of whole city! fetl better than we did last night, when it took an awful bus to get us near hostel, hard to find, then couldnt buy tickets anywhere for tram back to centre, let alone the actual tram stop so gave up and ate near hostel. it's painted rainbow colours on the outside andthe first question we were asked was "jungle or fish?" as in which tiype of themed room we wanted! managed to get to huge impressive art gallery (the gallery was impressive, not so muhc the art!) by 2 trams and a bus, it's so confusing, and there was a labrynth outisde it which we had fun in! ate in a cheap indian veggie restaurant (4.50 for both of us, huge meals) then went to the lush huge baths, where we chilled, went into the sauna etc, and had a great time!

ooh forgot to say, helen reminded me, dropped in on bratislava yesterday! on way to budapest, was quieter than anywhere we'd been to yet, and so much cheaper! well worth it. going to zagreb tomoorow, then ljlubliana the night after so may be a bit busy! thanks for reading this btw, if you are, it's someitimes theraputic to write it all down and remind ourselves how much we're doing, and that we're not just tired cos we're old fogies! no offence, people over 50! mwah ha ha ha!!!!xxx
