This will be a fast and furious trip into manhattan today, as we have evening plans. First of all we returned to Bloomingdales to change the colour of the eyebrow pencils for mum to soft brown (I checked the box after getting home the other night and it was a different colour - I got mum a special gift promotion pack that had finished and some extra eye liners thrown in so it was worth it).

We wanted to have lunch at ABC kitchen so made it a priority to get there and get a reservation. We got lucky and had another spectacular meal, although I only went for an entree and side this time instead of the 3 course lunch that Jane chose, with the caramel popcorn and chocolate fudge sundae.

We had another mooch around ABC home - janes first visit there, and admired all the fabulous things. Down the road is gramercy park, so we did a quick lap around this pretty neighbourhood.

We returned early afternoon to the apartment to get ready for our first night out with some locals!!!! I met Barbara at a French interior decorators store in scarsdale, and she mentioned she had been to this new wine bar opened by Colin, an Australian, in Mamaroneck, called Barlees. She organised to have a friend meet us, Laura, who works in radio. We ended up having a fabulous night out, meeting new people and seeing a different part of westchester that we would not have seen any other way!
