Another run began the day. The temperature once again was immense. I have decided to run at 11:30am to get as close to the mid day heat as I can. I did get slightly lost again ending up running alongside a major road for a mile.
I watched the Wimbledon semi final, while I cooled off after my run.
The afternoon was dedicated to sunbathing & sitting in the kids pool I picked up yesterday. The pool gives a good break from the heat. I have the company of a good book & music from spotify. Despite spending 3hours out there today, time still seemed to fly. It has been so long since we have had extended periods of sun in Newcastle I feel I have to make the most of it.
Ellen dropped me off at the Downtown Mall where a rock & roll cover band where Down till now where playing. I was wearing my Crusaders rugby shirt. This led to a couple of people coming to chat to me about New Zealand. I decided to walk back to the Henche's despite it still being 39 degrees. Got to love the heat!
Dinner tonight was some lovely shrimps with salad and potatoes. Followed up by an ice cream sandwich. It's a good job I am only have a couple of slices of toast each day for brunch to allow me to enjoy these meals.
This Friday night was a first for me as I accompanied Allen to the radio station. Here I assisted him with some editing of his interview with the director & composer of next weeks Opera. Being at the radio station was great fun as we sat in the production office & were able to watch the on air DJ as we did our work.
