Being jalan-jalan

I'm enjoying the stunning lake Maninjau now. Came here yesterday, got a ride on motorcycle from Jemi. The view along the way were really undescribable (is that a word?). Daddy you would have loved it! By the way the road coming here fro the mountains had 40 u-turns.

I can never be as relaxed anywhere else as I can be next to the water. Went swimming and canoeing last night, and saw a beautiful sunset! Also played a traditional Javanese wooden game called kucing-kucing. So much fun! And rescued a little cat. The Muaro beach bungalows is a really a little cat sanctuary. There are about 10 cats hanging out there, mostly rescued from the streets. So, there was this very dirty, skinny kitten walking on the beach, couching and sneezing. I gave him some food and love and today Jemi and I gave him a good wash and took him to the vet. He got 3 injections and had to be bought there in a cardboard box on a motorcycle on very bumpy road but he was a really good cat and didn't cry. I guess he's seen worse. I named him Padawan, cause I sense that the force is really strong in him:)

Tonight I'll go back to Bukittinggi cause I still promised to visit some places and another class with mrs. Hayat. And tomorrow night I'll finally head towards lake Toba!

Ps. One of the talks with mrs. Hayat and a group of young muslim girls got me a bit uncomfortable. It was about pre-marital sex. Except that they didn't call it that, but used the term "making dept before marriage". :S
