Hey all!!
Have had a really good week in Sydney. My hostel was really central so really easy for wandering around. On monday I went for a bit of an explore down Darling Harbour and up to the Opera House. In the evening I met up with some of the guys who were stilla round from my tour which was really nice. Met some of them again on tuesday and we did a bit of shopping and went over to Kings Cross area - mainly just full of backpacker bars and hostels!! In the evening we went to the Opera Bar to have a drink at sunset which was really nice as we could see out into the harbour with the bridge on one side of us and the opera house on the other!! We then went off for dinner in Darling Harbous and as it was james' last night we had a few drinks aroud the bars down there.
On the wednesday I did a Blue Mountains tour which was really nice. It was a bit overcast that day but not too cold! We went up and walked across the top of the waterfall and went to see the Three Sisters. We also went on the steepest railway in the world, was a bit weird because when you first get on it your laying back really far but when you start going down your sitting normally!! Met up witht he girls again in the evening and went to a Guylian cafe for dessert!! SO nice!!
On thursday I got the train over to Penrith to see Clare and her family which was really lovelly as it had been ages! It was a really hot and sunny day so and we went for lunch at the Rock lookout point which looks over the river and you can see the Blue Mountains. It was a really good view but was so windy we couldn't stay up there for too long!! When Nick got back from work we all went out for dinner which was really nice and they dropped me back off at my hostel. When I got back I went for a little wander and went up the Skytower which has 360 degree views over the city. Was really cool looking down on the city all lit up!
Friday was my last day in Sydney and I spent a lot of it shopping - yey!! Went to explore Paddys Market which was good and got some Ugg boots for me and Lisa! For lunch I wandered over to the Rocks where they had this nice little food market. It was a nice sunny day again so I sat outside for a bit in the afternoon, making the most of it!! At 3:35 I went to do the Bridge Climb!! It was soo much fun. I had booked the twilight climb so we climbed up in the day light, watched sunset from the very top of the bridge and then came down when it was getting dark!! Amazing!! Definately something that has to be done when there!! Had a quiet evening that night, repacking my bag (again) and getting ready to fly to new Zealand!!! :)
