So we arrived in Phuket and got on the coach to our hotel. The first thing we noticed was how massive Phuket is. Compared to Phi Phi where you can walk to one side of the island to the other. It took us about 40mins to get to Patong where we were staying, we weren't expecting anything special because Patong doesn't have the best reputation, but its by the beach, full of travellers and cheap! So we arrived at the hotel and wondered what kind of place we were staying in, one of the notices in reception said 'lady visitors ok - no extra charge' haha! But when they showed us to the room I didn't care! Compared to what we had been staying in it was 5*! We had aircon AND a fan, which believe me is good. Egyptian cotton sheets, a mini bar, tv+dvd, fresh towels and linen daily, all for about 7quid a night ( It was called Lamai guesthouse I think) We even had big feather duvets, which we needed with the aircon and fan, it was so nice to be wrapped up in them instead of lying in your sweaty sheets! I was so glad that our last hostel in Thailand was a nice one, even if they were a little vague on the broshure! It said 5 mins to the beach, but when we asked for directions at reception they just laughed at us! It took at least 25 mins in the baking heat to walk there! Any way we arrived at the beach and the was a huge neon strip which seemed to strech for miles, and rows and rows of sunbeds on the beach. Literally no other beach we had been on in Thailand had the luxury of sunloungers or parasols which makes the heat unbarable! So we decided to splash out and get one each! It was a bit tacky and FULL of English people but we felt like pampering ourselves! If you wanted a drink or icecream some one would go and fetch it for you it was great we stayed all day until it got dark!

I decided my navigational skills would help us get back to the hostel no problem, but after walking up and down the strip we were a little lost. So we set off in any direction thinking we might just stumble upon it, instead we found a mall!! We went in and spent ages in there shopping for fake Tiffany! We didn't leave til about 10pm and decided to get a taxi home as it was pitch black by this point and we were still in our bikinis and sarongs!

We didn't get dressed for pretty much the next 2 days, same routine of beach all day and shopping all night. We were so worn out from partying we just wanted to work on our tans and shop! There are SO many stalls selling fake designer stuff you could literally buy anything you want, any dvd or cd going too. I had to buy a hand luggage bag just for my new purchases haha! It got to our last day and we were meant to be getting the bus to Kuala Lumpur but it was going to take nearly 24 hours and was really expensive, so we had a look on Air Asia and booked a flight instead! So we got an extra day in Phuket to work on our tans and do some last minute shopping, which we were pleased about! We decided to go out that night as it was going to be our last night out in Thailand. So we actually got dressed and put make up on then headed out! I thought it was tacky during the day, but at night it was pretty manky! SO many old guys with young Thai girls, and loads of sleazey little bars. We decided on one and met 2 English girls there and headed off to a club we had heard of. The next day we just went to the beach, then went for a really nice mexican on a rooftop and watched the sunset. Even though Patong was a bit like a Thai Blackpool it was the perfect chilled end to our Thailand adventure. We were really sad about leaving we almost got back on a ferry to Koh Tao - almost!

We landed in Kuala Lumpur, we had come a day early for our flight to oz with one intention - to shop! We both needed to stock up on electricals, not having a phone or camera between us!! We also got fake handbags, clothes and I got myself a tiny laptop too! We had got so good at bargaining that I got a really good deal on it, it's tiny it fits in my hand bag I love it! We spent the whole day shopping until the malls closed! The next day our flight wan't until 11pm so yes we did some more shopping before heading to the airport. We arrived for our flight and I was really sad that the first part of the trip was over, but I knew I had a great week to come with the girls in oz...
