We had to be up at the crack of dawn to leave KL, ok so it was 7am but it seemed early as me+Louise had been giggling all night, some mean old woman shhhhed us how rude! We went down to get a taxi to the station and the hostel owner said there was another woman waiting to go to the station and we should share with her, it turned out to be that mean old woman! She decided 50p was too much for a taxi and walked, I was secretly pleased! So we arrived at Changi on time, and in a much nicer plane than our previous room, we had more leg room on our 50min flight than we did on our 12hour one!
We got the MRT which is like the tube to the hostel and me+Siobhan managed to navigate all the way there without even asking for directions! The hostel is in a really good location, it's in Little India and walking distance from loads of places. Our room was basic to say the least eventhough it's the most expensive place we are staying. No window, no mirror, possibly enough room to swing a cat! We dumped our bags and went for a wander. After chinese and malay food we really wanted a burger! So set off to find the nearest maccy d's. We walked for what seemed like hours before giving in and asking someone for directions. After that we headed to Bugis Junction, and Bugis Street which is like a huge indoor market full of knockl offs! Siobhan talked me into getting this stripey dress which did me no favours at all! After that we just went back to the hostel. Our aircon is FREEZING and even when you turn the temp up it seems to do nothing. I ended up sleeping in my hoody again!! It was so hard to sleep my pillow and sheets seemed to smell of disinfectant. So it was either cheapy laundry powder or someone had an accident in the bed before I arrived YUCK! I had to sleep with a tshirt over my pillow to mask the smell!

We headed off to Orchard road where there are about a million malls all designer, shopping heaven, Vicky you would have loved it! We went all the way there to spend about 2 hours in new look! I didn't end up getting anything! Then we bumped into some blokes we saw in Kl and at the airoport I have a feeling they are going to pop up everywhere. We went back to the hostel to get changed and decided to go to Clarke Quay for something to eat. Looking at the map we thought we could walk it easily, but after walking for about half an hour we realised we were no where near. We asked some man and said we had another 2.5 miles to go so we jumped on the MRT. The quayside is so nice (obviously not as nice as Newcastles) it was all lit up and had hundreds of places to eat and bars along it. There was so much choice we spent about an hour deciding where to eat and settled on Hooters! Of course the girls were gorgeous! Two americans inturrupted our conversation to ask where we were from, they were old and typical yanks, sun visor eventhough it was dark, cropped trousers, possibly socks with sandals luckily the didn't ask to join us! After a nice meal we went for drinks, it's so expensive to get drunk here so we're waiting til Bali to have a massive night out. We walked back to the MRT station and realised the last train was leaving soon! We hadn't even checked the map to see which line we needed. We picked a train and got on it, but I wasn't sure so hopped out and the doors started to close so had to dive back in again, luckily we picked the right one! It was so cold that night I felt like I was in the arctic, I had on a cardigan, hoody and towel!!

After the worst nights sleep of our lives we decided to go to Sentosa Island because it was our last full day. We got up early and got down the the harbour front for the monorail across. It's man made and has it's own beach, everyone had said how tacky it was so didn't know what to expect when we got there but it was really nice! We went on some kind of nature trail when we go there afer climbing what seemed like a mountain, we didn't notice the escalator til we got the top! The woman told us to look carefully to see the animals. I didn't see so much as a fly! It was nice anyway basically a walk through the tops of the trees, we decided to tuen back but obviously took a wrong turn somewhere and ended up walking in cricles! We were so hot and annoyed from walking round like idiots so we went down to the beach. I thought it would be really busy and full of screaming kids but we got down there and it was dead. The sand was so clean the the sea looked turquoise. I haven't been in the sea in almost 2 years. I was so excited to see it I just jumped right in wearing my dress! I didn't have a bikini on so I was soaking! After cooling off in the sea we got on a bus which we thought was taking us back to the top. In fact it just went round in a massive circle and we ended up back at the beach again. Finally we got the monrail back up to the top and decided toi go on this thing called the Luge. It's like a skateboard with handles to steer. You have to go down this track to the bottom and you get a chair lift back up. I didn't think it would go that fast so I went off at full speed down this track. There weer massive signs up saying 'slow down' round te corners. I didn't even know how to put on the breaks so I sh*t myself! Afetr zooming in and out of families who had stopped inn the middle of the track to take photos!! We went up the chair lift. I thought Siobhan was going to vom because she's scared of heights! But we nade it up ok and went back to the hostel - me still soaking wet I must have looked at a drowned rat!
It was our last night so we got dressed up and went to Raffles Hotel. It's gorgeous, we didn't feel very posh so we went to the Long Bar, we went in to get a seat and I nearly lost my footing on a peanut shell! Apparently its tradition to throw them on the floor, the place was covered. Luckily I was in flats otherwise I would have ended up on my bum! After drinks and about 1000 peanuts between us we went for something to eat in chinatown. We got off the MRT straight out on to the market, there were lanterns everywhere and chinses stalls and shops blaring out music. We went to this place on the street for something to eat and I managed to master chop sticks, although when you see the locals do it you realise how rubbish you are! I wish we had seen more of it but we had to get the last MRT back, so we headed off home.
