Hello!! And Merry Christmas!!
Out of all my fellow travellers, I think I had the nicest Chrsitmas plans - going to stay with Claire and Mat in Wang!! I was given a lift to Wang on the Saturday with Mollie and Krystal (Mollie I partied with the night before - don't worry - she wasn't driving), and arrived there in the afternoon ready for a BBQ. It was fab - family and friends came round and Mat cooked far too much gorgeous food, whilst I drank beer and got to know everyone. The love for the Saunders family started here. It was Claire and Mat's first week in their new house, and it already looked fantastic. The place is huge and they have a really big garden, which Mat has loads of plans for - its lovely, and the loveliest thing is that I had a double bed, and was able to put all my things in draws!! Jesus - you do not realise how good it is to put things in draws until you can't!!
Mat and I got up at 7am to go to the Sunday market whilst Claire went swimming. We bought so much food and it was all so cheap and lovely. The we went to Nana Sauders' for 10am tea (she has this every day and there is always a different amount of visitors - there were about 10 of us this morning!!). Later that day Claire and I drove out to the local Vineyards and I sampled all the goods!! Lots of wine, and also cheese and chocolate yummy!!
On Christmas eve I was taken out with the whole family to drive around in Pa Saunders' car that he renewed from scrap metal - its called Angie and its a soft top, but I can't remember the brand. Look at the pics - Ford Anglain or something I think. We drove round all wrapped up to look at the lights and they were fantastic. Then Kristy and I went out and got very drunk and did very silly things in Wang - the pics again show it, and there was alot of nose picking!!
Christmas day was fab - it was a beautiful day, and we had breakfast with Mat's mum and family at Claire and Mat's, then went to Mat's dad's place for a huge lunch. There were 22 of us in total, and Kim had made the table look completely stunning - it looked like it was from a wedding. We all had individual drink coasters and presents on the table. It was gorgeous. I opened my card form mum and dad and burst into tears and spend the rest of the morning doing much the same. I had presents from Alan and Kim, Mat's mum and Nan and Pa - everyone was so good to me. We spent the rest of the afternoon in the pool playing volleyball - good times!!
