Well i write to you this morning kiddies...drugged up on Phenergen yet again. My body ratio is currently 99.9% bites to normal skin. Im a cranky person today!! I have spent most of the morning in tears as have only just recovered from the last bed bug experience and now im covered again. This time i have loads on my face too. And several of the trillions that are covering my arms have swollen up and they hurteth! Am seriously sooooo over staying in hostels now...am really missing my beautiful double 'UN...flea-ridden' bed... Only 4 months!!

Today i'm in Airlie Beach...which is quite nice. Very small, not lots to do it's mainly just a gateway for the boating trips out to the Whitsunday islands really. My boat - the Boomerang (!) leaves at 1:30pm today...cant wait!

So since my last blog... i left Cairns on the Wednesday... had had enough to be honest, and was running short on time, so booked my greyhound to depart on Wednesday afternoon. Richie Rich came and waved me off bless him!! and then the next stop was Mission Beach. Kind of wish i hadnt bothered to be honest as theres not a lot to do there. Im sure if the weather had been nice (it wasnt!) it would have been beautiful to just sit and chill on the beach. But as it was raining there was buggar all to do! I did catch up on some of the olympics which was good though. Watched some diving!

After 2 nights in Mission Beach headed to Magnetic Island... i loved loved loved it here!! Could easily have stayed another couple of nights! The hostel was right on the beach and we slept in these little huts that overlooked the sea. Was gorgeous! And then at night the bar also backed right onto the beach. Had several moments during that stay were i thought this was just perfect! Met 2 really nice german girls - Esther and Yvonne who i spent most of my time with. They were such a good laugh and are also in Airlie beach now - so going to meet up with them in a bit before head off on me boat!

Just chilled on magnetic island and then on the Saturday rented what looked like a barbie topless car with a bunch of people from the hostel and drove around the island... which is tiny. We were lucky as the weather was boiling hot so we could really make the most of the day. We did a couple of walks and then just chilled out and had a picnic on the beach which was lovely. That night headed to the bar again and had a really funny night. We'd kind of been chatting to 3 Aussie doctors who were over there on a break from a course they were doing in Townsville. They were a real laugh and we had a good couple of nights.

Felt rather rough on Sunday morning when i got up... blame Beth Dando for introducing Bourbon and Coke into my life! Bleugh!! Was soooo not looking forward to the ferry crossing back over to Townsville and then the 6hr greyhound journey...but made it in 1 piece luckily!!

So will update you all after my Whitsundays sailing adventure! .... hopefully have some more underwater piccies too!
