Wilderess was a great opportunity to chill out a bit after the madness of Cape Town. Spent all day on Tues (22nd) on Baz bus and didnt get there until gone 5. The weather has changed and it seems a lot cooler here. Wilderness is lovely, very picturesque with houses surrounding a lagoon, it reminded me a bit of the Lake District. Packed up and left the Ashanti lodge early on Monday morning and hopped on the Baz Bus to Stellenbosch, only took about 45 mins. Literally had time to dump our bags in the hostel reception before we were bustled off on the wine tour. Sorry its taken so long to update my blog... internet is pretty slow here and it took all my time to put the pics on the other day! Anyway... let me tell you about my time in Cape Town. Loved Cape Town, our first impressions were as we drove into the city and saw Table Mountain, this immense mountain on the cusp of the city covered in clouds - as you can see in the pics. So... a quick first entry on the blog! Dawnie and I have arrived at Heathrow Airport relatively unscathed.. .although we havent fully mastered the art of carrying the backpack yet! I nearly went head over heels several times and dawn got stuck in hers! Hmmm... something tells me this could be interesting! A plane crashed when landing on the runway earlier so a lot of flights have been cancelled but at the moment ours still seems to be going ahead. Luckily no-one...

Well its about 8.30 in the evening and I've only just started to feel normal! Thanks to everyone for a fab leaving do and seeing me off in style! Im quite proud of myself for remembering all of the night (well most of it!) ... however there are few hazy bits towards the end but I think i can thank Sophie for feeding me that baileys cocktail and Karen for the mojito which...combined with wine resulted in it all getting a bit much for me towards the end of the nigh...
